ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE:
Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 38% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 205,000 Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. Moreover, the city's population is expected to grow by 28,000 by 2036, creating a demand for 13,500 new dwellings and associated infrastructure.
ABOUT THE TENDER:
Council is seeking to establish a panel of experienced and qualified medical service providers to deliver employment related medical services for Council's 1300 plus employees either on-site or within the local area.
Council is committed to supporting employees' health holistically through a range of initiatives such as the Wellbeing Framework, paid Health and Wellbeing Leave, internal Mental Health First Aid network, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available to staff and their immediate families. Council's medical service providers form part of this commitment, and the ability to deliver an efficient and effective service is critical.
Council recognises the importance of prevention and early intervention strategies, as well as the benefits of recovery at work. Council acknowledges the role that effective medical service providers play in assisting Council to support staff to recover at work, assess employees' fitness for duty, and implement effective health monitoring and early intervention programs to support ongoing health and wellbeing.
As a self-insured workers compensation employer, Council requires its medical service providers to work with Council to implement strategies that support a healthy workforce, with a focus on recovering at work, and where possible reducing absenteeism and lost time injuries through best practice rehabilitation, early intervention and health management strategies.
ENQUIRIES: Tender enquiries should be directed to Sasha Buckley, the Project Officer via the online forum. Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box, or in a sealed envelope. The envelope is to be endorsed with the Tender number, title, and closing date and can be mailed or placed in the Tender Box located in Councils Administration Building, Ground Floor, 126-138 Main Road, Speers Point by the nominated time and date.
TENDERERS TO NOTE: In the preparation and submission of the tender and without limiting the Tenderers obligations, the Tenderer shall submit a tender which includes all Schedules including the Tenderers Declaration Schedule and any other declaration required completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information and details necessary to make the tender complete. The tenderer shall not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed nor engage in any form of collusive practice not directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
