This Expression of Interest is for the construction of a new Government Services Building located in Picton town centre under a design and construction model. The development will consist of 4 storeys plus additional basement parking for 80 vehicles. The total floor area of 7,800m2. will house Council staff, and its elected members along with a commercial lettable area of 1,000 m2.
Council's vision for this Precinct is for it to become the community, civic, cultural, and economic heart of Wollondilly. It will be a place for cultural expression, civic activities, and business activity and will bring together community members and visitors to Wollondilly.
The construction of the Government Services Building is Stage 2 of the precinct Master Plan. This development is preceded by the completion of Stage 1, which includes refurbishment works to the Shire Hall, the construction of the new Children's Centre and Performing Arts Centre.
Detailed Design will be completed to 75%. The engagement of a Principal Contractor will see the existing design team novated across and the design finalised under a Design and Construct contract.
The proposed scope of work includes, but will not necessarily be limited to:
- Finalise the design
- Building services, Engineering, Landscaping
- Cost estimation, drawings, plans and specifications.
- Engagement and management of sub-consultants
- Preparation of construction documentation.
- Undertaking project risk analysis and reporting.
- Obtaining and complying with all required approvals and permits.
- Liaison with services authorities and consent authorities.
- Project management, procurement, coordination and supervision
