EOI - Lease of Premises - Cafe at Bayswater Waves Aquatic Facility

⁠⁠⁠The City of Bayswater (the City) is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) to lease and operate the cafe located at the Bayswater Waves Aquatic Centre, Corner Broadway, and Priestly St, Embleton.

Bayswater Waves Aquatic Centre located in Embleton, Western Australia is an iconic aquatic facility that provides a number of aquatic and recreation programs and services to the community. The facility consists of seven separate pools including WA's only wave pool and a number of non-aquatic facilities including a multi-story health club, group fitness facilities, cafe, and other function rooms. Bayswater Waves is one of the most loved aquatic and leisure destinations in Perth and attracts over 800,000 visitors each year. The site is currently undergoing major refurbishment works and is on track to re-open in December 2023.

The City of Bayswater is currently vested with care, control, and management over Reserve 38313, with the power to lease for any term not exceeding 21 years subject to the Ministers for Land consent. The current cafe lease agreement between the City and the lessee came to an end, on 31 January 2023 at the commencement of the final stage of refurbishment works.
