Newcastle City Council invites suitably qualified tenderers to construct bulk earthworks for the proposed Organics Processing Facility (OPF) at Summerhill Waste Management Centre (SWMC) within the City of Newcastle Local Government Area. The works include - bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, vegetation removal and mine grouting to prepare the site for the new Organics Processing Facility and the relocation of the existing materials processing operations.

Responsibility for lodgement by the deadline lies solely with the tenderer. Lodgement information is provided in the tender document. Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender or any tender submitted.

A non-mandatory pre-tender briefing and site inspection will be held on Thursday 13 July 2023 at 11:00 am at the Summerhill Waste Management Centre, 141 Minmi Road Wallsend NSW 2287. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required at the site inspection, including long sleeve shirt, long pants, high visibility vest, hard hat and steel cap boots. Tenderers must RSVP if they are attending the pre-tender briefing to aball@ncc.nsw.gov.au. Attendees must have their own PPE to undertake a tour of the site.
