Prefabricated Building- Expression of Interest Questionnaire

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Education (the Department and DoE) is looking to establish a new PQP for the supply, delivery, installation, construction, and removal of single-level and multi-level factory-built or prefabricated classroom buildings. The new arrangement will also incorporate the provision and installation of hire buildings. These works may also include landscaping to support the built environment.

The current arrangement ‘DETE 101258 PSA - Purchase of Relocatable Buildings’ enabled the delivery and installation of factory-built prefabricated school buildings with a quick response time. The new arrangement seeks to build on this arrangement with new product ranges, a broader supplier base, and an open market price reset.

The Department’s procurement strategy is consistent with the Queensland Procurement Policy 2021 to drive value for money outcomes, consideration for environmental and energy-saving benefits, and value-add in specifications and fit-for-purpose facilities through a robust procurement process.

This Expression of Interest Questionnaire does not commit or bind DoE to accept any responsibility, commence negotiations with any respondent, award a contract, or do any further act or create any other obligations to a respondent. Any decision to engage any respondent is at the absolute discretion of the DoE. An Industry briefing will be held Friday 28th July 2023 to discuss the re-tender of the DoE Prefabricated building & temporary hire building Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA). Meeting details will be provided closer to the date. The information session will be via Microsoft Teams.
