Rio Tinto Yarwun, situated in central Queensland, are seeking expressions of interest with suppliers that have the capability to complete cooling tower refurbishments at the site.

There are four cooling towers in total and a brief scope of work is below.

Offsite works:

- Shop detail drawings

- ITP preparation

- Procurement of all materials

- Provision of MDR's.

Onsite works:

- Full inspection report

Structural work including stair replacement, ladder replacement, strut bracing to strengthen cantilevered platform beams, floor replacement (grating), FRP paneling, fan deck replacement, external cladding replacement, replacement of all fill and supporting structures with new materials, inspect and replace internal cell divider walls, replace louvres.

Mechanical work including fan blade replacement, Inspect and repair or replace the support structure for the distribution system. Clean and unblock all pipes and nozzles, replacing damaged components, Complete integrity inspection on fan steels support frame for future replacement.

As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
