Details of individual compressor makes and models can be found in addendum 3.

Each Hydro Station has two compressed air systems comprising of station air (7 Bar Ohau A/B/C, 13 Bar others) used for TWD (Turbine Wheel depression), shear pin air and pneumatic tooling. A second high pressure system (operation pressure 40 bar) is used to supply governor air for (HP governor) and to charge hydraulic accumulators for turbine wicket gate actuation. The compressed air used in these systems is critical for safe operation of the generation units. Therefore system reliability and quick fault response are key requirements of this service.

  • Guaranteed parts availability; and
  • System improvement recommendations as required as well as additional services by assignment:

  • Air quality testing.
