Bangalow Sports Field Lighting Upgrade Project

Byron Shire Council has secured funding from the NSW Governments Essential Community Sports Assets Program for Bangalow Sports Field Lighting Upgrade. Existing Halogen lighting and Poles will be replaced with new Folding/hinged Poles and energy efficient LED lighting.

Byron Shire Council is releasing this tender submission to - Undertake perimeter lighting Design by a MIES Lighting Designer - to achieve 150 LUX (min) across the entire field/s area for competition standard for 15-year design life. Design shall ensure maintenance can be undertaken at ground level - Poles are to be foldable and operated by one person. Undertake Geotechnical investigations in relevant (per design) locations to inform design of pole footings (structural Engineer). Contractor to undertake services location to avoid impact on existing underground services.

There are three (3) points of electrical connections, including three (3) main switchboards that will provide suitable power supply to new Lights.

• Lighting Design must be accordance with the REF, in particular it shall comply with: 'Minimize light spill and artificial sky glow in accordance with Lighting for Roads and Public Spaces Standard.'
• Provision of Certification of design and Installation is essential, as is an unconditional warranty on design and construction.
• All Design specifications/ inclusions in documentation attached and as part of this RFT.

Byron Shire Council reserves the right to reject any Submission based on non-compliance with RFT specifications for Design and Delivery of Project.
