Council is seeking offers from suitably qualified consultants to provide a full time Project Superintendent Representative for the Dalby Water Supply Upgrade Project and assist with other regional projects. The engagement is based on up to 40 hours per week over a 3-year period.

Western Downs Regional Council has recently committed over $47M to increasing the water supply capacity for the town of Dalby. The water supply upgrade will seek to develop existing groundwater entitlements in the Great Artesian Basin (GAB) Precipice and Hutton Sandstones to provide a supply increase of approximately 2.2ML/day.

Council completed a desalination pilot study in 2019 which included construction of the first of several GAB bores. The pilot study provided quality and yield data that was used to develop a proposed staging plan for the water supply upgrade.

The Superintendent’s Representative will manage the delivery of the project from the current Planning and Design Phase to the award and execution of construction contracts.

The Superintendent will be required to administer and direct various contracts simultaneously and formally request resourcing within budgetary limitations where required.
