Barellan Sewer Scheme Construction

⁠⁠⁠Narrandera Shire Council (NSC) is inviting tenders from qualified and experienced contractors for the construction of a sewer scheme in the town of Barellan.

Barellan is a small village of approximately 540 people located in Narrandera Shire approximately 60km to the north of Barellan. The village is currently serviced predominately by onsite sewerage systems with a common effluent drainage system servicing several dwellings and businesses in the northern section of the village.

The Barellan Sewerage Scheme consists of approximately 5.7km of gravity reticulation sewer, four (4) sewer pump stations, approximately 4.2km of sewer rising main and a six (6) pond sewerage treatment plant with a total footprint of approximately 5.7ha.

The expected timing for the commencement of the project will be communicated to the successful tenderer. NSC is aiming to have the project completed within a reasonable timeframe without compromising the quality of work.

To ensure the tenderers have a full understanding of the scope and complexity of the project, a compulsory site meeting will be held in Barellan on Wednesday the 12th of July 2023. Please ensure that a representative from your organisation is available to attend this meeting. Detailed site information and specific instructions for the meeting will be provided to all registered tenderers in advance.
