Tender Description
The City of Sydney invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of construction work for the James Watkinson Reserve in accordance with this request.
The City has an ongoing small parks and playground renewal program for parks that are in need of improvement works, replacement of end-of-life equipment, and to provide appropriate facilities for local residents.
In November 2021, Council endorsed the refined concept design in which community feedback was incorporated.
The works include but are not limited to:
- retaining and protecting the existing mature trees and park character
- removing the old timber stairs and platform structure
- new link path to provide better access
- renewing the play equipment to focus on younger children and includes slides, servery and lookout deck, double swings with a bucket seat, and a nature play area
- new path lights to improve night-time safety
- replacing the barbecues with new accessible units and tables
- providing more seats and a new water bubbler with a dog bowl
- new table in the main park area away from the playground
- improving the turf grass area and adding new shrubs and groundcover plants.
The location of James Watkinson Reserve is 1A Mill St, Pyrmont NSW 2009.
