Rocks Laneway Pop Up Gallery EOI

⁠⁠⁠Rocks Laneway is an important destination for both residents and visitors alike, providing a tourist attraction and a space for our community to participate in events and share experiences.

As part of the City of Greater Geraldton (CGG) City Revitalisation Plan and Rocks Laneway Redevelopment, the City is excited to present a pop-up gallery opportunity in the Rocks building.

The City invites individual Midwest-based artists, designers, inventors, makers, and crafters to submit a proposal to showcase their work in a public space. This opportunity is open to individual applicants of all ages and experience levels, as well as community groups or curators of group exhibitions.

The Pop-up Gallery will be available on a day-to-day basis with a maximum period of 7 continuous days.

Successful applicants will be responsible for installing and taking down their exhibitions and must follow appropriate occupational health and safety procedures. Exhibitors are responsible for always having a representative present during opening times, to deal with enquiries and ensure the safety of the work.

The City has no set budget for financial contributions to these exhibitions but will promote the exhibition through social media.

Applications must be submitted through the online application form two months before the preferable exhibition period.

Details of the pop up gallery:

Consists of a ten metre tall brick wall surface with an art hanging system, and the adjacent ten by two metres of floor space. There is no tailor-made exhibition shelving available, however, there is access to trestle tables and chairs at the facility.
