Container Exchange (COEX) is seeking parties wishing to operate a container refund point (CRP) based in the East Caboolture region. Providing an opportunity to participate in Queensland’s Container Refund Scheme - Containers for Change.

Background

Containers for Change is Queensland’s container refund scheme implemented by Container Exchange Limited (COEX).

Established on 1 November 2018 to give people an incentive to collect and return containers for a 10-cent refund. The aim is to reduce the number of drink containers that are littered and increase Queensland’s recycling rate.

COEX is seeking local businesses to provide container recycling solutions that support the community. We believe there is a better way to recycle that positively impacts individuals, communities, and the environment. Driving enablement and participation in the Queensland Containers for Change scheme.

Container Refund Point Operator (CRP)

As a CRP operator, you would play an integral role within Containers for Change. In your region, you will provide improved refund point accessibility and a positive experience for customers when they return their containers

As a CRP operator, you can provide one or more of the collection point solutions below:

• Depot

• Bag Drop

• Pop Up

• Reverse Vending Machine.

CRP operators have the opportunity to make a difference by facilitating recycling and fundraising opportunities in their local communities. Helping to keep containers out of landfill and repurpose them using the Containers for Change circular economy.

To deliver Containers for Change to 33,000 residents of East Caboolture and surrounding areas by operating a

CRP that improves accessibility and convenience for residents across the below suburbs:

• East Caboolture • Morayfield East • Beachmere
