Albury City Council and Wodonga City Council (The Councils) recognise tourism's contribution to the cities and the flow on benefits that come from being a recognised tourism destination. Accordingly, both councils have taken a leadership role in tourism under the Visit Albury Wodonga (VAW).

The Councils developed a Tourism Partnership Agreement outlining the principles that both Councils will operate by and activities that they will undertake together. In 2018 the Councils partnered to develop an Albury Wodonga Destination Management Plan (DMP) 2019-2023. Key objectives of the DMP are to grow visitor numbers; increase visitor spend; grow average length of stay of visitors; enhance visitor experiences; introduce more paid product and increase our profile by State tourism agencies.

With the DMP now due for review the Councils are committed to developing a new DMP to guide the strategic direction of the Albury Wodonga visitor economy.

AlburyCity Council and Wodonga City Council invite suitably qualified Vendors to submit a Quote for the provision of consultation services to The Councils to prepare a DMP upon the conditions detailed in this Request for Quote.
