Provision of Event and Production Services for Creative Generation State Schools Onstage

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the Provision of Event and Production Services for Creative Generation (2025) – State Schools Onstage.

Depending on requirements these services specifically include:

Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage (CGEN) is a yearly arena-style event which incorporates more than 1800 Queensland state school students in a 3 hour performance featuring a 75-piece orchestra, a big band, 750 dancers, a 600-voice choir, 40 featured soloists, a massed drumline of up to 80 students, up to 100 massed string players and many other talented school groups.

The successful Supplier including the services of a Technical and Operations Director/Production Manager, Music Director/Technical Producer, Screen Content Manager, Lighting Director/Designer & Audio Designer/Director will work within a defined budget to be approved by DoE to produce this event. The Department of Education (DoE) will pay a fixed fee for the full services and equipment provided per production, based on quotes by the successful Offeror.

Where the activity and services requires the Supplier to consult with and appoint subcontractors and suppliers, it is a requirement that the Supplier engages, evaluates and manages the contracts in consultation with the department’s Executive Producer and the DoE’s event project team. The DoE’s event project team will consist of nominated personnel from the Department of Education.

CGEN 2025 will be held in the Great Hall of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC), South Bank on Thursday 11, Friday 12, and Saturday 12 July 2025.

The following is out-of-scope for this Contract

(a) Food, beverages and parking for the duration of the contract will be at the expense of the Supplier and will not be on-charged to the Customer. Show week catering will be covered by the Department for all contractors and sub-contractors.

(b) Services provided by the external broadcast provider as detailed in Schedule 1, Requirements

(c) Services provided by BCEC as detailed in Schedule 1, Requirements
