Tender Description
The purpose of this Invitation is to shortlist Electricity Retailers able to supply electricity and LGCs via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) sourced from new or existing renewable projects in NSW for a term of up to ten years starting January 2025.
The resulting electricity supply agreement would, as a minimum, cover Hunter Water's large sites. The aggregate annual load of these sites is currently around 77 GWh and is expected to be in the range of 70-80 GWh throughout the period 2025 to 2034.
Key Outcomes of the EOI Process
Outcomes to be obtained from the EOI process include:
a) Greater understanding of renewable projects with NSW and how Hunter Water could benefit from these projects.
b) Establish the capabilities of Electricity Retailers to provide a retail renewable power purchase agreement backed by the supply of electricity and renewable energy certificates from a portfolio of specified renewable electricity generation projects.
c) Confidence that the Electricity Retailer can provide these services as of 1 January 2025
d) Indicative pricing information based on Electricity Retailers' solutions.
Closing Date and Time
Responses close at 2 pm EST on Monday 5 June 2023 and submissions must be fully received by this time.
