The Bloomfield Group is an Australian owned and operated group of private companies with interests in mining and engineering in the Hunter Valley, NSW. The Group employs around 600 people and operates two open-cut mines; Bloomfield Colliery at East Maitland and Rix's Creek, 5km northwest of Singleton, NSW. Coal from both sites is railed to Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS), of which Bloomfield is a founding member and current shareholder. The company's engineering businesses include Four Mile Engineering at East Maitland, and Kings Engineering in Rutherford. The Group also has equity positions in companies specialising in renewable energies, recycling and biofuel production.

SERVICES REQUIRED:

The Bloomfield Group invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified Contractor's for the provision of Fire Protection Services. These services include:

• Provision and maintenance of fire protection systems (e.g. extinguishers, blankets, hose reels, fire bins, pumps, hydrants, automated systems), for both fixed infrastructure and mobile plant;
• Audit and condition reporting on fire protection equipment and systems;
• Training for Bloomfield staff (equipment operation and warden); and
• Maintenance of a fire protection equipment register.

These services are to be provided across all Bloomfield Group sites, with 24/7 support available.

The purpose of the EOI process is to select prospective tenderers as part of a two-stage procurement process, involving both open Expressions of Interest (EOI) to establish interested parties, followed by the issue of a restricted Request for Tender (RFT), to a short-listed group of respondents to this EOI.

The issue of this request for EOI does not commit or otherwise oblige The Bloomfield Group to proceed with any part or steps of the process.
