Tender Description
Heritage Now, on behalf of a Proponent (29 Garawon Place Pty Ltd; PO Box 55, Mermaid Beach, QLD 4211), is requesting the names of Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal cultural heritage within the Project Area in Fletcher. The Project Area is 12km north-west of Newcastle and is approximately 4,000sqm in size, where residential development is proposed (further project details provided on registration). The purpose of community consultation with Aboriginal people is to assist the Proponent in the preparation of an AHIP application and to assist the Department of Premier & Cabinet Secretary (or a delegate under the National Parks & Wildlife Act 1974) in their consideration and determination of the application.
