The Waratah-Wynyard Council is seeking tenders from experienced Oval Construction contractors or similar organizations, partnered with specialized sub-contractors for the design and construction of a new oval (Oval 3) to be developed at the Wynyard High School.

Oval 3 will be used for football training; cricket matches and by the Wynyard High School for a range of sporting activities.
Contractors must be able to demonstrate relevant and recent experience in the construction of new ovals, oval renovations, the installation of irrigation and sub surface drainage systems and coordination and management of specialized sub-contractors such as oval lighting contractors.

Oval 3 is proposed to be constructed in the Spring of 2023.
Primary features of the new oval when completed will be:

• Renovated, top dressed, conditioned, levelled and resown playing surface.
• Subsurface drainage system.
• Irrigation system.
• New concrete cricket wicket and synthetic surfacing.
• Training lights to 100 lux average light level.
• Ancillary and support infrastructure (by others) eg score boards, seating and the like.

The contractor will be responsible for a 13-week intensive management period of the new oval surface.
