Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The department is seeking to procure a supplier to undertake a formal evaluation of the Child Development Check (CDC) pilots being delivered through the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN).

The pilot with EFNLHN aims to decrease developmental vulnerability for lower Eyre Peninsula children by:

  • Increasing the number of child development checks for children aged up to the age of 5 years. This will provide an opportunity for early identification and intervention.
  • Providing support services for children and their carers whilst awaiting secondary or tertiary support. This will include provision of strategies to support the child and help with accessing services they have been referred to. Particular support will be provided to Aboriginal families in recognition of the significant barriers they face in accessing services, which may include transporting families to and attending the first few appointments.
