Financial assistance is available for landholders and land managers to create or enhance priority biodiversity habitats and corridors on their property. Funding between $10,000 – $25,000 is available per landholder or property for restoration works within the 2023/2024 financial year. Applicants are required to provide an in-kind contribution equal to or greater than the total amount of funds requested.

Habitat loss, degradation and fragmentation are a leading threat to our native flora and fauna, and landscapes that support sustainable regional communities. This threat has been exacerbated by the three-fold impacts of drought, fire, and floods experienced in the North Coast region since 2019. The cumulative impact of these events has highlighted the need to improve landscape habitat connectivity to safeguard native species in the NSW North Coast.
