Request for Quotations - Dwellingup Trail Head Shelter

⁠⁠⁠The Shire of Murray (SoM) in partnership with DBCA are proposing to appoint a suitably experienced and resourced contractor to undertake the construction of a new Trail Head Shelter to be placed within the Trails Precinct in Dwellingup. The site is immediately adjacent to the existing Dwellingup Visitor Centre and will become the centerpiece for the Trails network.

The shelter has been designed to blend with the surrounding landscape and architecture while having a functional approach for trails signage. The base works will see the construction of the shelter and associated works with the DBCA to install any signage following the completion of the shelter.

The Shire of Murray is looking to engage the services of a contractor to undertake the required building of the proposed shelter and associated works.

A full set of approved construction plans have been coordinated to fully detail the needs around the build and associated specification notes. The SoM have management over the Reserve and will work with the successful contractor to best manage the work program to align to existing facilities and services within the immediate area.

The shelter will be located within an existing landscape area where services will also be within proximity. When undertaking any works that involve excavation every caution will need to be taken and where required either manual or vacuum extraction may be necessary. As part of the project the SoM will be undertaking the reinstatement to landscape around the new shelter to effectively reinstate the landscape area.
