"The Soil Conservation Service has successfully been engaging suppliers from a panel arrangement since 2017. The Sydney Area is also seeking to set up a Wet, Dry, and Quarry & Soils Panel, as these panels add significant value in providing Project Managers with the reactionary power to achieve effective procurement outcomes for the purchase of regularly acquired services that are critical to SCS’s fee for service.
SCS is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the three panels. Suppliers who best demonstrate their ability to provide quality services will be placed on the relevant panel and invited to provide the goods or services on a job-by-job basis through the issue of a purchase order.
The proposed panel contracts will achieve effective procurement outcomes for the purchase of regularly acquired services that are critical to SCS’s fee-for-service projects within the Sydney region. The panels will also ensure suppliers are not required to constantly provide “quotes” for repeat work, which are almost always priced on the basis of a rate."
