Tender Description
MidCoast Council (the Principal) is seeking Tender submissions from appropriately qualified and experienced Building Contractors for the supply of all associated trades, supervision, equipment, fixtures, fittings, and activities required to complete the upgrade works and the new building extension at Hawks Nest Community Hall.
Works include the demolition of the old library community space and the construction of a new stand-alone building. The new standalone building extension is meant to become connected with the main building, via Meals-On-Wheel's current cold room area.
An opening on the current external wall will be created & an internal room connection will be created in this location where a new cold room infrastructure will be accommodated.
The new standalone building extension is comprised of a main hall, an accessible toilet, and 1 storage room/office.
In the main building, it is predicted to upgrade electrical switchboards and addition of some emergency lighting. In addition, it is also included the installation of external window shutters along the north elevation.
The expected timing for the overall execution is between June and November.
