Tender Description

The Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) intends to install grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at the Bowen Administration Building.

A solar power feasibility study was conducted by an external party, and it was recommended a 30kW solar power plant was required for the Bowen Administration Building.

The 30kW solar power plant at the Bowen Administration Building would be required to be mounted on the roof.

Council is seeking a qualified and experienced solar Contractor to design, supply, deliver, install, test and commission (including network connection approval to Ergon on Council’s behalf) a solar power system at the Bowen Administration Building.

The work is to commence in April 2023 and is required to achieve practical completion by the end of June 2023.

Council has an existing Solar Analytics License to monitor the performance of its existing solar power plants from a single portal and it is Council’s preference to supply a system capable of integrating into the existing “Solar Analytics” portal.

All enquiries are to be posted through the 'Communications Forum' .

A non-mandatory site inspection has been arranged for 10.00am Monday 3rd April 2023 meeting at Bowen Administration Building, 67 Herbert Street, Bowen Qld 4805.
