Tender Description
Maniototo Area School is in Ranfurly, Central Otago. It has 170 Pupils and 20 Teaching spaces. The School is the hub of a tightknit and strong community. Maniototo Area School caters for years 1-13 and offers a blend of experiences with the advantage of a rural environment, while ensuring confident, well rounded 21st century learners are developed.
this current 5YA the school have elected to carry out pupil focused AMS, DQLS/ILE, upgrades to create tutor spaces in the gym (Block 8). Also included in this 5YA are infrastructure items identified in the 2018 high level infrastructure service reports. This includes, roofing and spouting replacement to the gym.
The draft physical requirements of the project are detailed below:
• Replace the roofing to the flat areas and spouting to the entire building.
• Upgrading life safety features, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting to current code.
• Bathroom changing room upgrade, remove and replace all toilets, basins and showers.
• Some of the existing changing room space will be converted into breakout / tutoring spaces.
• Create breakout and workroom space around teaching spaces.
• Acoustic ceiling linings to tutoring and break out spaces.
• New impact resistant vinyl flooring in the gym.
• New floor coverings to the bathroom and tutoring spaces, classroom and auxiliary areas.
• New acoustic pin board wall linings to tutoring spaces.
• New LED Lighting to the entire building.
• New window actuators to assist with ventilation and temperature control in the Gym.
• Replacement of floor coverings.
• New wall linings.
