Cairns Regional Council is seeking submissions and competitive rates for the cleaning of approximately 283 Gross Pollutant Traps (GPTs). GPTs are an in-ground filtration system that play an important role in stormwater management. Their purpose is to capture large contaminants such as plastic, litter, leaves and oils, and in some cases for pre-treatment of sediments.

The PSA is divided is divided into three separable Portions (refer to Part 5 - Scope):

- Separable Portion 1 - Northern District (approx. 144 Gross Pollutant Traps)

- Separable Portion 2 - Central District (approx. 34 Gross Pollutant Traps)

- Separable Portion 3 - Southern District (approx. 105 Gross Pollutant Traps)
