Tender Description
The State Party is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from defence industry enterprises, consortia of enterprises and defence industry peak bodies partnering with eligble WA Educational Institutions in relation to the WA Defence Industry Reskilling and Upskilling (DIRU) Grant Program.
The DIRU Grant Program initiative is part of the defence industry workforce development package announced by the WA Government in its 2022-23 State Budget. Defence enterprises and peak bodies have emphasised during consultation the importance of industry driving the process, and supported a grant program to develop and deploy the specific micro-credentials, accredited short courses, relevant Industry 4.0 product and skill sets to meet the needs of the industry.
Funding totalling $800,000 will be made available in Round 1.
NB: Eligibility for the DIRU Grant Program is restricted to defence industry enterpises approved as defence industry employers by the Defence West branch of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI).
