Shire of Mundaring is Seeking to Engage a Consultant to Develop a New Property Investment Strategy

⁠⁠⁠     While the Shire is heavily reliant on revenue collected in form of local government rates and charges, an alternative source of revenue is currently provided through management of the Shire's property portfolio. A review of the existing strategy to maximise the potential for increased revenue generation in a sustainable manner is a high priority for the Shire.

A key component of developing the new strategy will be a review of the existing Property Strategy and supporting policy instruments which are:

3. Policy OR-20, Shire of Mundaring, Management of Property Held for Investment Purposes (Attachment 3)

The new strategy will provide a framework for decision-making around the Shire's existing property portfolio with guidance and a series of prioritised recommendations with regard to future disposal, purchase and investment decisions. It will also provide clear direction on the recommended governance measures that will be required at the time of Council adoption of the new strategy.
