For WasteWater Pumping and Disposal

⁠⁠⁠Glamorgan Spring Bay Council (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of wastewater pumping and disposal (the Services).  The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

Council maintains a waste-water system in Swanwick and 15 public toilets, some of which are connected into tank systems that require regular and semi-regular pumping out.  The properties connected to the Swanwick waste-water system each have septic tanks. The tanks require pumping on a five year rotational basis while the public toilets need servicing at irregular times as they block or become full:

• the area(s) to be serviced; include all the tank based public toilets within the council area. The Swanwick system is comprised of only those properties connected to the waste-water scheme. (Nominally 72, increasing to nominally 100 as new houses connect)
• Council requires the service provider to respond within 24 hours to the public toilet requests and service the Swanwick residences on a programmed basis. The contractor is to pump the tanks to the recommended lowest level and dispose of the effluent at the contractor’s expense and to the approved statutory processes. 
• The contractor is to coordinate and maintain the arrangements for disposal of the wastewater.
• The contract terms will be fee for service based on a schedule of rates. The quoted fees will be paid for works completed within 28 days of the month end in which the invoice is received. An annual fee adjustment will be applied based on CPI (Hobart for the preceding 12 months) on each anniversary of the contract.
