Cleaning of Barbecues and Picnic Facilities

Cairns Regional Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified and experienced Individuals or Contractors for cleaning services of its Barbecues and Picnic Facilities.

Site Inspection: Tenderers are invited to attend a mandatory guided site inspection of the four barbecue sites listed below during the tender period:

Yorkeys Knob Sims Esplanade Northern Unit

Yorkeys Knob Life Saver Shelter Area

Yorkeys Knob Sims Esplanade Southern Unit

Yorkeys Knob Sims Esplanade Far South 

The site inspection will provide Tenderers with the opportunity to clarify any uncertainties with the contact person prior to the Closing Time. 

The site inspection is mandatory and will be held on:

Wednesday 22 March 2023 at 3:00pm commencing at Yorkeys Knob Sims Esplanade Northern Unit

Tenderers must have their own transport and will be required to make their own way to and from these sites. The site inspections will be guided by Council representatives. Tenderers will be requested to stay with the group.

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Thursday 6 April 2023. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted. 

Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.

Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 120 days from the Closing Time.
