Tender Description
The Department of State Growth is seeking applications from providers who are suitably qualified and can demonstrate the capacity to undertake the following types of vehicle inspections in accordance with all Approved Inspection Station (AIS) requirements:
- Pre-registration inspections of used motor vehicles and trailers with a GVM or GTM over 4.5 tonne.
- Scheduled bus inspections (6 or 12 monthly).
- Vehicle defect notice clearance inspections for vehicles requiring a brake test.
- Scheduled taxi, ride source, luxury hire car, restricted hire car inspections (6 or 12 monthly).
- Scheduled hire and drive inspections (12 monthly).
- Light and heavy vehicles (single or fleet vehicles) otherwise called in for inspection by the Department.
- Type approval inspections.
Delivery of the Vehicle Inspection Services will involve owners or operators of the above vehicle types making an appointment with an appropriate AIS to have their periodic or scheduled inspection and payment of the inspection fee is paid directly by the owner /operator to the AIS undertaking the inspection.
