Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Department of Communities and Justice, Youth Justice is seeking new providers for the Bail & Accommodation Support Services (BASS) project through the Youth Justice Accommodation program throughout NSW (principally in metropolitan areas).

Obtaining access to these services is essential for young people who would otherwise, be homeless or remain on avoidable remand.

Youth Justice NSW is seeking to partner with existing providers of youth homelessness services to provide accommodation for young people involved with the justice system.

Youth Justice funding is a contribution to the costs of supporting this group of young people experiencing homelessness but does not extend to sustaining standalone services.

In Metropolitan Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and Riverina, BASS is seeking to identify suitable providers who can offer Short-Term Crisis Accommodation (STCA) for young people already involved with Youth Justice.

These contracts are paid in advance on a quarterly basis.

DCJ has also released another open tender concurrently for a similar project with reference RFX_844 – Youth Justice BASS Project – Bail Accommodation.

DCJ is seeking Bail Accommodation providers across all areas of NSW.
