Tender Description
The Byron Shire Council Chambers sustained damage during the February floods in 2022. Most of the interior of the Chambers was stripped out including wall frames, flooring and all fixtures and fittings. Over the next six months a new interior design by a local Architect was selected by Council and we are now ready to procure the services of a suitably qualified Builder.
The new interior design includes an updated layout, new custom furniture, seating and fittings and also includes betterment principals with the new raised flooring designed to withstand future flooding events of the magnitude seen in February. 2022.
Council also required updating of accessibility inclusions such as level access to the building and a new emergency exit ramp at the newly designed rear exit.
Timing is critical to the success of this project and Council requires the winning tender to commence works within one month of being awarded the contract. The ideal practical completion date would be early August 2023.
