Tender Description

Tauranga City Council invites proposals for this contract.

As part of our Marine asset renewal planning, Council complete regular condition assessments of our marine "built" structures and coastal protection structures. Council require the services of suitably experienced and qualified consultants to complete these condition assessments and provide this information back to Council. The scope of work includes:

A Site visit to each asset including taking photographic records to capture condition and any maintenance issues to be addressed.

Assess and record the condition of the structure using the NAMS condition rating methodology.

Assess and record the remaining residual life of the asset based on current condition.

For any newly discovered coastal protection structures, such as groynes, rock revetments and seawalls the data capture is to include GPS or .shp files containing the coordinates of the start and finish points of the structure. Details of the height, width, material type, adjoining land use, condition grade and remaining useful life of asset are also to be captured. The data to be captured is contained in the attached sheet A. For existing coastal protection structures the existing data that TCC holds is to be verified and updated as required.

For assets permanently submerged in water i.e. marine piles, toes of boatramps you will be required to engage a commercial dive company to complete a dive survey to determine condition grade and remaining life of the asset components along with any maintenance recommendations.

Identifying any urgent maintenance required to the assets being assessed with recommendations of maintenance required to be completed within the next 3 years from date of assessment.

Populate and audit the captured data in the preformatted spreadsheets provided by TCC.

Works to commence second quarter of 2023 and be completed before end of November 2023. A draft of the completed assessment data is to be provided to TCC by the middle of October 2023.
