Tender Description
This project encompasses investigations, concept design and detailed design of flood mitigation measures at Morundah. This follows the completion of a Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan in 2022 which makes recommendations for flood mitigation measures. Council has since secured NSW Floodplain Management grant funding for the design of the mitigation measures.
The mitigation measures for design consist of an upgrade to cross drainage structures through an existing levee bank and a local overland flow diversion bund. Both measures are designed to mitigate major local overland flow flooding.
A non mandatory project briefing will be held at Council's Urana offices at 30-32 William Street on Wednesday 8 March 2023 at 11.00am for this and three other Federation Council flood mitigation projects which are concurrently out for tender. Prospective tenderers are encouraged to attend this briefing in person or on-line.
