Civil Construction Waste Material Recycling

⁠⁠⁠ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE:
Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 38% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 210,000 Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. Moreover, the city's population is expected to grow by 28,000 by 2036, creating a demand for 13,500 new dwellings and associated infrastructure.

ABOUT THE TENDER:
Council invites quotations from suitably licensed service providers in order to establish a panel of civil construction waste material recycling service providers to receive, process and on-sell civil construction waste material on behalf of Council for a period of two (2) years, with three (3) 12-months extension options available to be enacted at Council's discretion.

Council's civil construction works currently generate approximately 20,000 tonne of construction waste per annum. This waste comprises of various materials including: road base, concrete and asphalt along with aggregate. The tonnage mentioned is a guide only, and Council does not guarantee the volume of material.
