Provision of Audiometric Testing Program

TAFE SA wishes to engage a supplier for the provision of a new Audiometric Testing Program for TAFE SA employees. TAFE SA's current Audiometric Testing Program finishes on 30 June 2023.

The services under the current Audiometric Testing Program includes:

• On site audiometric testing in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 8253
• On site audiometric testing across metropolitan and regional South Australian sites
• Provision of testing results to individuals and organisation
• Testing results and recommendations discussed with individuals
• Baseline testing of all in Scope employees. In addition, testing any new or exiting in scope employees.

Th Audiometric Testing Program is currently run across TAFE SA to verify efficacy of noise management strategies, affording increased protection of staff. This program helps to ensure TAFE SA’s compliance with WHS Legislation and reduces TAFE SA’s risk to exposure to workers compensation litigation. For example, if Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) has occurred prior to an individual commencing work for TAFE SA.
