Tender Description

Tamworth Regional Airport is a large regional airport servicing the New England/North West region of NSW. The airport is serviced by two airlines. QantasLink provides flights between Tamworth and Sydney and Link Airways provides flights between Tamworth and Brisbane. Current flight schedules are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In a normal year passenger throughput numbers are approximately 200,000.

 
Tamworth Regional Airport is also home to a major flight training facility which has previously been used by the Australian Defence Force and BAE Systems Australia. Known as International Flight Training Tamworth (IFTT), the facility has two sections. an operational and technical centre with airside access and a large maintenance hangar. An accommodation village with dining and recreation facilities for up to 231 residents.
 
The airport is also a preeminent maintenance hub for the QantasLink operations and the general aviation sector. Sigma Aerospace also provides extensive maintenance services at the airport. A TAFE NSW training facility known as Aviskills provides training for aircraft maintenance engineers.

The large purpose-built hangar with direct airside access includes the following. Parts and Tool Store, Reception Area, Offices, Avionics Room, Engineer Workshop, Hydraulics Workshop, Lunch Room, Male and Female Amenities including showers, Battery Room, Storage Areas and a General Hangar Space.
