Plumbing and Electrical Installation Works for Kambalda Expansion Project

⁠⁠⁠Mandatory Site Visit: Thursday, 16 February 2023

The Shire of Coolgardie is seeking to engage the services of suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the plumbing and electrical installation requirements for its proposed workers accommodation village expansion project at Kambalda.

Given the critical demand on accommodation it is the expectation of the Shire that the invited Contractors will be in a position to complete all works by the 31st July 2023.

The scope of works is broken down into the following Separable Portions as set out in detailed in the Scope of Works:

1. Separable Portion 1 - Electrical : Supply and Install Power, including the required additional gensets if required or tie-in to existing gensets, distribution boards and other power requirements to operate a 100 room camp facility and 2 laundries;
2. Separable Portion 2- Plumbing: Supply and Install Water and Sewerage, including the required facilities, lines, tanks etc. supply and installation, tie-ins, connections and requirements to operate a 100 room camp facility and 2 laundries.

The RFT is set up on the basis that the 100 SPQ rooms and 2 laundries will be supplied and delivered to Kambalda. Supply, freight, delivery and placement and ancillary site works is out of scope for this RFT.

Contractors can tender for any and/or all of the separable portions, however the Shire reserves the right to award Separable Portion(s) to different Contractors, subject to the best value for money considerations as set out in its request for tender. 

Mandatory Site Visit

Tenderers are required to attend a mandatory site visit. The proposed date for the site visit is Thursday, 16 February 2023. Tenderers are required to book a time for their specific site visit. Please contact the Shire by email on projects@coolgardie.wa.gov.au to book your time slot for the site visit by no later than 4pm (WST) on Tuesday, 14 February 2023. Please note that bookings will only be managed by email.
