Tender Description
Tweed Shire Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to complete the roof refurbishment, height safety compliance and air handling units upgrade to the Murwillumbah Civic Centre, Tumbulgum Road Murwillumbah. A Pre-Offer site inspection will be held commencing 9am (NSW time) Wednesday 22/02/2023. Meet at the main entry to the Murwillumbah Civic Centre.
The full scope of works generally includes but is not limited to:
• Modifying ground floor entry door, installing roof and plant room to accommodate new AHU-1 including relocation of adjacent switchboard. Includes temporary framing (between permanent structural columns) and cladding including single access door for maintenance of existing AHU-1.
• Remove and appropriately dispose of existing AHU-5a and AHU-2 and associated services and ducting. Installation and commissioning of new AHU-5a and AHU-2 (supplied by the Principal) and associated services and ducting.
• Remove existing roof sheeting and replace with new roof sheeting where nominated and specified.
• Installation of roof top platforms for AHU-5a and AHU-2.
• Remove & replace façade cappings, ridge cappings, flashings, claddings, box gutters, shade cloth & asbestos soffit lining where nominated and specified.
• New exposed ductwork servicing the AHU-1. Temporary connection of new ductwork to existing exposed ductwork.
• Comply with and implement the Lead Dust Disturbance Management Plan in consulation with Council’s preferred Lead Dust Management subcontractor.
• Comply with and implement the Environmental Management and Protection requirements of Preliminaries Clause 6.
• Temporarily remove and reinstate all services and associated fixtures/fittings affected by the works.
• Various areas will require works to be completed outside normal business hours including weekends.
• Scaffolding, edge protection, height safety equipment, lifting equipment and temporary fencing as required. Note access to the building is to be maintained at all times.
• Waste Management including removal and disposal.
