We need a supplier or suppliers to develop and draft a strategy covering Arts, Culture and Heritage in the Kāpiti Coast District. We are aiming to have a high level, concise strategic document that will be used as a reference by all parts of Kāpiti Coast District Council (Council) that are engaged in arts, heritage, or culture (ACH), as a basis for existing and future strategic and operational plans.
The scope of this project encompasses all arts and creativity, heritage relevant to Kāpiti Coast District, and culture including both the look and feel of our communities and cultural diversity. The contract has a holding title of “Culture and Creativity Strategy” to reflect Council’s aspirations for the district to showcase the intrinsic creativity in the arts and cultural expression, and in presenting heritage stories to the community, alongside the traditional strategic focus on fostering the arts and preserving heritage.
Background research and engagement is a key component of this project, especially as Council has partnership agreements with the three iwi of the local mana whenua.
The project is in four phases:
1. Background Research and Stakeholder Engagement
2. Development of a draft strategy document for community consultation, leading the consultation process and collating feedback
3. Preparing a draft strategy and participating in the Council approval process
4. Preparation of an internal implementation/action plan
Suppliers may apply separately for specific deliverables in each phase or for all 4 phases, according to their strengths.
