The Lansdown Eco- Industrial Precinct (LEIP) is a turning point for our city. It will boost the Townsville and North Queensland economy and job market and stimulate future-focused industries while protecting our rich environment.

The LEIP brings together innovative organisations, passionate about driving positive change for our economy, community, and the environment.

 
To provide raw water to the LEIP, TCC is now proceeding with the Raw Water Pipeline Project which is proudly funded by the Commonwealth and State Governments.
 
The Raw Water Pipeline Project includes:
  • An upgrade of the existing Haughton Pump Station;
  • Connection of a new 900mm diameter pipeline to the existing 900mm Ross River pipeline;
  • Installation of the new 900mm diameter water transfer pipeline (the pipeline) spanning approximately sixteen and one quarter (16.25) kilometres from the connection point to the Lansdown Eco- Industrial Precinct, at the township of Woodstock, North Queensland;
  • Construction of a storage dam at the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct;
  • Construction of a new pump station and associated internal water reticulation pipework to service customers within the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct.
