Tender Description
The Training Committee in Sexual Health Medicine (SHM) seeks expressions of interest from Sexual Health Medicine members to join the TCSHM as an Appointed Member.
The Training Committee in Sexual Health Medicine oversees Advanced Training in Sexual Health Medicine.
The Appointed Member role involves:
- monitoring and reviewing training program requirements and curricula in consultation with relevant stakeholders and recommending changes to the TC.
- monitoring and assessing individual trainee progress in Sexual Health Medicine, including assessing various types of applications such as training applications and applications for Recognition of Prior Learning
- modifying training requirements for individual trainees as appropriate, in accordance with college policies and procedures
- reviewing of Advanced Training Research Projects
- reviewing Advanced Training settings in Sexual Health Medicine, including conducting site accreditation visits and reviewing site accreditation applications.
The Committee holds 1 face-to-face meeting in November and up to 3 video conferences a year.
Members are appointed to the Committee for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew for a further term.
