Expression of Interest for Gawler Civic Centre Short-Term Café Operator

⁠⁠⁠EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR GAWLER CIVIC CENTRE SHORT-TERM CAFÉ OPERATOR.

Description:
The Town of Gawler is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from suitable operators, for the short-term operation of the Gawler Civic Centre Café space, during key upcoming dates.
Currently the Kitchen and Café Space within the Gawler Civic Centre is without an operator, so Council are seeking EOI to provide basic café services during key upcoming Gawler Fringe events and other Gawler Civic Centre programming in coming months. To clarify, ‘basic café services’ include barista coffee as a minimum and ideally coffee and snack or coffee and light meal services, for single-day operation as outlined below.
Council is yet to determine the future, ongoing operation model of the Gawler Civic Centre Café/Kitchen space.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is an Expression of Interest only – Council will determine who fills the spot(s) based on interest received.
Please submit your EOI via return email (to the below email address) by close of business, Monday 6 February 2023.
Council will provide:
· Kitchen Area for preparation of café services – Oven & Rangehood, Stainless Steel Benches, Sink, Dry Store etc.
· Service Counter for service/preparation of café services.
· Café Seating Area for service of café services – Café Tables and Chairs.
· Access to electricity (10amp-32amp), gas and water onsite.
Short-Term Café Operator to provide ‘Basic Café Services’:
· Provision and set up of any equipment required for your ‘Basic Café Service’ such as (but not limited to) – Barista Coffee Machine, Fridge(s), Pie Warmer(s), Microwave/Convection Oven etc.
· Provision of adequate number of staff.
· Any electrical equipment used will be required to be tested and tagged prior to use.
· Any advertising of your business ie. banners, flyers, etc.
· Provision of all foodstuffs and ingredients in relation to the basic café service provision.
· Clean and tidy space when operation ceases for the day.
· FBN Number.
· Public Liability Insurance.

2023 Gawler Fringe shows/events:
· Wednesday 22 – Friday 24 February, 9:00 AM -12:00 noon (or full days).
· Saturday 25 February, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
· Thursday 2 March, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (or full day).
· Wednesday 8 March, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (or full day).
· Thursday 9 March, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (or full day).
· Saturday 11 March, 9:00 AM - 12.00 noon (or 9 AM - 1 PM).

Other dates to be determined, based on upcoming Gawler Civic Centre programming and future, ongoing operational model of Café.
