Tender Description
The scope of work includes all works necessary to construct the library laneway in accordance with plans prepared by Council’s landscape architect.
There is a non mandatory pre tender meeting Wednesday 8 February 2023 - 12pm - In the laneway between Vincent Street and Charlton Street near the access to Cessnock Library.
The works under the contract include the following activities:
a) Preparation and submission of a project quality plan.
b) Management of pedestrian traffic.
c) Management of access to properties adjoining the laneway.
d) On ground identification of underground services.
e) Adjust height of utility service pit lids as required.
f) Repair and replace any damaged underground services including roof water drainage pipes.
g) Implementation of sediment control measures as required.
h) Removal and deliver to Council depot existing artwork on walls of adjoining buildings
i) Demolition, removal and disposal of existing pavement
j) Earthworks.
k) Sub base fill and compaction.
l) Stormwater drainage in including installation of pits.
m) Sub soil drainage.
n) Formwork
o) Installation and fixing of steel reinforcement
p) Concrete placement and finishing – slabs, foundations and seating
q) Installation of skate stoppers.
r) Installation of expansion joints, contraction joints and isolation joints.
s) Installation of tactile indicators at end of laneway adjacent Charlton Street road reserve.
t) Fabrication and installation of steel framed portals and associated footings.
u) Fabrication and installation of steel art display cabinets.
v) Fabrication and installation of a handrail.
w) Supply and installation of Ronstan tensile cabling
x) Supply and install catenary electrical lighting and associated cabling.
y) Landscaping including garden bed construction, tree installation, timber seating
z) Surface treatment of painting of walls on adjoining buildings.
aa) Clean and tidy the site after work completion.
