Tokomaru Stopbank Upgrades - Phase 2

⁠⁠⁠The scope of works sites (Section 1-4) are located on both the right bank and left bank of the Tokomaru River and different sections of the River. The Contract Works principally comprise

Preparation: The clearing and removal of all obstacles and vegetation as necessary within the Site, including borrow areas.

Stripping: The removal of topsoil from the area affected by the earthworks, including fill and borrow areas.

Excavation: The excavation of all cuts, borrow areas, benches and surface drainage facilities.

Carting: The carting of the excavated material to fill or to waste.

Filling, Reinforcement and Compaction: The placement of Type A fill into the stopbank and the shaping of stopbank batters.

Control of Surface Water: The control of surface water throughout the period of operations to prevent erosion of the landscape and the silting of waterways, and to protect the earthworks.

Spreading: The spreading of stockpiled vegetation on the berm and the spreading of topsoil and the sowing of grass.

Spraying: The spraying of polymer infused hydroseed where necessary.

Maintenance: Maintenance of the Contract Works.
