Pembroke encourages businesses interested in performing the civil works associated with the pit water dam 1 and MAW dam for the Project to register an expression of interest (EOI) through the ICN Gateway webpage. Pembroke encourages strong participation of local businesses in the project.
Scope of Work
The high-level scope of work for this work package includes the following:
preparation of Contractor management plans to demonstrate how the Contractor will perform the works in accordance with the Principal’s HSMP, CEMP, Design Documentation and other Approvals and Compliance documents
staging, construction and maintenance, including dust suppression, of haul roads required by the Contractor for
the performance of the Work
all temporary Work as required by the Contractor to complete the Works
survey
construction of the Pit Water Dam 1 (~250ML) and a MAW dam (2,065ML). The Contractor shall complete all Work
necessary for the construction of the pit water dam 1 and MAW dam, including but not limited to the following:
o stripping of topsoil
o excavation of the pit water dam 1 and MAW dam, including:
o load and haul of spoil material to the nominated stockpile locations
o stockpiling of suitable material for replacement and compaction of the dam base and batters; and
o over excavation of the base and batter layers of the pit water dam 1 and MAW dam
o foundation preparation, recompaction, and treatment of the base and batters of the pit water dam 1 and MAW dam, including for the bund, spillway, and rock protection as required by the Design Documentation and Specification
o construction of all bunds, including selection and treatment of materials where required to achieve
material conformance requirements outlined in the Specification
o importation and placement of rip rap to the extents shown on the Design Documentation, including supply and placement of geotextile
o construction of grouted rock lined channel, including the supply of all necessary permanent and temporary materials
o construction of the cast in-situ culvert/spillway
o construction and staging of the Work Areas as agreed by the Principal’s Representative
o construction of erosion protection where required
o topsoiling, seeding and hydro mulching where required.
general bulk earthworks construction comprising excavation, placement and compaction of excavated or imported competent fill to the lines and levels indicated in accordance with the Design Documentation
construction of any Contractor required buildings and facilities including earthworks pads and pavements
local area topsoil stripping and replacement
installation of permanent surface treatments and rehabilitation of disturbed areas
protection and maintenance of temporary works and permanent works within the Contractor’s Site until Completion
level 2 Geotechnical testing, supervision and certification in accordance with AS3798 for earthworks operations in accordance with the Design Documentation
testing of the in-situ foundation material and removal and replacement with competent material (in accordance with the Design Documentation)
testing of imported granular and rock material
disposal of all unsuitable or spoil material to a nominated spoil areas as agreed with Pembroke
dust suppression for the duration of the works and within the Contractors work area
Construction water will be supplied by Pembroke onsite, the Contractor will be responsible for collection and transport.
