Tender Description
Following an assessment of the existing flood monitoring network in the first part of the Gawler River Flood Management Project, a data gap was identified with regards to validation of flow velocity and discharge in high flows.
DEW has identified the need to procure a specialised supplier to supply and install high flow monitoring equipment at three sites across the Gawler River network and one test/control site located outside of the catchment. This will allow for calculations of surface water velocity and discharge in high flows to validate rating curves, and ultimately improve the confidence level of flood forecasting for the Gawler River region.
