Tender Description
Gladstone Regional Council seeks a suitably qualified contractor to perform civil upgrades to improve the usability and safety of the single lane boat ramp located at Flat Rock Picnic Ground in Baffle Creek.
The proposed development comprises construction of an upgrade to improve the existing boat ramp. The upgrade will involve constructing an extension to both sides of the boat ramp, consisting of new geotextile, rock armour and a blinding layer of river rock.
The works include site preparation, and civil works construction associated with:
• Undertaking investigation works to assess existing ramp;
• Improving scour protection to sides of ramp (moderate sized rock armour);
• Improving accessibility of sides of the ramp to pull boats up and walk on safely;
• Installing anchor points on the ramp for boats to tie off on temporarily while retrieving and parking cars; and
• Altering drainage from existing car park to avoid discharge down boat ramp.
